Schedule Meetings with Doodle Instead of Email Back and Forth

    Contents

The other day I received a Doodle invitation for a conference call with five people across countries and time zones. Within an hour, and with only one email, the meeting was set. Yes, one email.
We’ve all experienced massive, inbox-filling email exchanges trying to nail down a convenient meeting time. Try Doodle instead. It’s free and you don’t have to register for an account.
Click on “Schedule an Event,” enter the title of the event, add your name and email address, select a few dates and time proposals for each day (Doodle calls these polls), and you’re done. You’ll receive an email with the Doodle link which you can send to everyone you wish to invite. Or, connect your Google or Outlook address book and send the invitation out via Doodle. You’ll need to sign up for a free account to do the latter. Registering for an account will also allow you to connect to your Google, iCal, or Outlook calendar, and track responses.
Doodle has a premium edition which offers additional customization and functionality, but for many, the free version will do.
Doodle simplifies the process of scheduling appointments and shields your inbox, so the next time you’re planning a meeting, hold off on the email back and forth and give Doodle a try.
